From the Desk of Your
Pastor,
Hello to all of our beloved church family
and friends at
I have shared with you over the past few
weeks my desire to call our church into a “Season of Prayer” in seeking to know
what God will have us do as His church in our community. I truly believe our greatest work and also
our hardest work in serving our community and one another is to remember to
pray in all ways and for all things we need but also need for the Lord’s direction
in our lives. I want to invite you to
join me in this “Season of Prayer” and join together with us in worship, bible
study, fellowship and helping others be led to the love of Jesus Christ in
fulfilling our mission at
I want to also encourage you to give thanks
to the Lord for His blessings upon our church over these past many months and
days as we have seen wonderful growth and actions taken by faith in His grace
and love. The Lord has continued to add
to our family each month as we share in the joy of new members and families
joining the work of the Lord at
I ask you all to continue praying for our
church to grow in the Lord in all ways He desires and for us to boldly proclaim
His gospel in our community in the days ahead.
We know the times we live in our filled with great anxieties and fears
for many people because of recent economic troubles and other world wide
difficulties coming to all of us. We
also know God is faithful to His church and has promised to give us joy in the
midst of such trials as He meets our needs and as we continue to seek after Him
with all our hearts. I encourage you to
not be afraid during such trials and to put all your burdens and anxieties upon
Jesus Christ, because we also know He loves you and cares for you in all ways. It is my heart’s desire we become more and
more connected to God through faith in Jesus Christ and to also become more and
more connected to one another through love – love that is seen by all in our
community because of the grace and charity we show to one another. This is and will be our greatest witness and
testimony of our faith in Jesus Christ to our community – how we love and care
for one another.
We will have a wonderful opportunity to
demonstrate this to our community in celebrating our 20th
Anniversary on Sunday, November 16th. It will be at a time when our nation will
have elected our next president and members of Congress with the hope of seeing
the promises made during the campaigns come true to help our nation meet these
difficult times. Our continued faith in
Jesus Christ and working together as His church will also impact our community
and nation in greater ways than the results of the election because God has
stated His church will prevail over the schemes of the devil. Let us continue to join together in taking our
stand against the devil’s schemes and to stand firm in our faith in Jesus
Christ and His church working together in love.
It is by this stand we will witness a time of blessings filled with good
news for our beloved church, families and community.

News from Jean Royalty
Building
Better Christians by Exercising our Lungs and Heart!
Aerobic exercise such as walking improves
endurance and feelings of well-being in people suffering from Chronic
Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
This is a chronic disease involving the lungs such as asthma, emphysema,
and chronic bronchitis. I want to
encourage you to find ways to exercise your lungs and heart to improve your
health and to also do the same in exercising your faith. This can be done alone and also with a love
one or friend encouraging each other to become better connected to God and to
one another through daily “exercise”.
If
you would like more information on this or would like to see other topics
discussed like this please let me know.

their families and friends for Christmas. We need small items that can be used
as gifts such as hand lotion, perfume, broaches, earrings, necklaces, small
toys, homemade craft items or anything that would make a nice gift. Please no
